Jason is one of the founding members of KEENEY | ATKINS LAW and maintains a litigation and
consulting practice with a focus on Business, Commercial, Construction and Employment disputes.
Jason is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Kentucky and Ohio, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Kentucky, Southern District of Ohio and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jason obtained his law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1998, and has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Kentucky.
In addition to providing general corporate, human resource and risk management consulting to his clients, Jason advises and represents the firm’s clients (corporate and individuals) in a variety of complex litigation matters, ranging from business torts to commercial contract disputes. He has pursued and defended claims before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in Kentucky and Ohio, including all levels of arbitration, mediation, trial and appellate work.
Jason’s diverse litigation practice has included the prosecution and defense of a myriad of contractual disputes involving non-competition agreements, shareholder buyouts, protection of confidential and proprietary information and corporate governance issues, as well as business torts tied to the management and operation of multi-million dollar companies.
Jason has also presented client-education seminars on Employment Discrimination and Sexual Harassment in an effort to assist clients in avoiding the employment related hazards that face all employers – from single member LLC’s to multinational corporations.
